CIn thFat bright city, pearly white ciCty,
CI have a mansion, a haGrp, and a crown;
NCow I am watching, waiFting and longCing,
For the white city John sGaw coming doCwn

No sCin is alloFwed in that ciCty,
And notGhing defiling nor meCan;
No paCin and no sickFness can enCter,
No crGape on the doorknob is seCen;
Earth's sorrGows and cares are forgoCtten,
No tempGter is there to annCoy;
No partFing words ever are spoCken,
There's nothGing to hurt and desCtroy

No heartCaches are knFown in that ciCty,
No teaGrs ever moisten the eCye,
There's nCo disappoiFntment in heaCven,
No enGvy and strife in the sCky;
The saiGnts are all sanctified whoClly,
They liGve in sweet harmony thCere;
My heFart is now set on that ciCty,
And soGme day its blessings I'll shCare

My loCved ones are gatheFring yondCer,
My frieGnds, too, are passing awCay;
And soCon I shall joFin their bright numCber,
And dweGll in eternity's daCy;
They're safGe now in glory with JeCsus,
Their triGals and battles are paCst;
They overFcome sin and the tempCter,
They've reacGhed that fair city at laCst
