This Privacy Policy explains what information KeyVerse ("we", "our", "us") collects from users of the KeyVerse web application (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. This page is maintained by the KeyVerse team to answer common privacy questions about the Service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — email address, display name, avatar, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in.
  • Usage data — practice sessions, XP, streaks, coins, achievements, dashboard layout, playback preferences, and other in-app activity you generate.
  • Content you provide — MIDI files you upload, chord annotations, comments, feature requests, and store interactions.
  • Payment metadata — subscription status, coin balances, and PayPal order IDs. We do not store card numbers; payments are processed by PayPal.
  • Device data — browser type, IP address, and basic diagnostics required to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use information

  • Provide, personalize, and improve the Service.
  • Sync your progress, purchases, and library across devices.
  • Process subscriptions and coin purchases through PayPal.
  • Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and security issues.

3. Microphone and MIDI input

When you enable microphone play-along or connect a MIDI device, audio and MIDI signals are processed locally in your browser for real-time pitch detection. Raw audio is not uploaded or stored on our servers.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run KeyVerse — including our hosting/backend provider, PayPal (payments), and email delivery services — and only as needed to operate the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings at any time, which removes your profile and associated user data.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at theunveiling7@gmail.com.

7. Children

KeyVerse is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
